Downhill grid
Much of Giarre follows a fairly regular pattern of streets on the gentle slope from Etna to the coast. This gives the centre an ordered, rectangular look.

关于地图
Giarre Map Poster & Print
Giarre lies on the eastern side of Sicily, in the province of Catania, on the lower slopes that run from Mount Etna down to the Ionian Sea. The town merges with neighbouring Riposto on the coast, so from above the two read almost as one built-up area. Fairly regular streets run downhill toward the sea, crossed by others, and citrus groves and vineyards fill the surrounding land.
Its main church, the Duomo of Sant'Isidoro Agricola, stands out for its twin bell towers and neoclassical facade. Giarre has also become known for the Incompiuto Siciliano, an ironic art project that presented the town's many unfinished public works as an architectural style of their own. The idea drew wide attention across Italy.
A Giarre map poster shows how the town is oriented between mountain and sea. The streets lean toward the coast, the shoreline at Riposto closes the composition, and the slopes of Etna rise behind. It is a clear, well-ordered map with a strong sense of place.

Riposto coastline
Giarre's built-up area joins Riposto, where the coast and harbour form the map's eastern edge, a clean line against the Ionian Sea.
Etna foothills
West of town, the land rises toward the volcano through citrus groves, vineyards and scattered villages. On the map this is open ground crossed by winding roads.

为什么选 Giarre
一张有意义的地图
Giarre speaks to Sicilians at home and abroad, especially those from the Etna coast who remember the Duomo square, the sea at Riposto and the mountain behind. The map suits a kitchen or a study, or makes a gift for someone who left the island.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The $9 digital download covers six print sizes, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF, with no watermark.
