关于地图
Gjakovë Map Poster & Print
Gjakovë lies in western Kosovo, on the Dukagjin plain, with mountains along the Albanian border rising to the west. The Krena River flows through the town, and the larger Erenik runs close by. From above, the old centre shows an irregular pattern of streets around the bazaar, while newer districts spread across flatter land with wider roads and larger blocks.
The town's best-known feature is its Grand Bazaar, the Çarshia e Madhe, one of the largest historic bazaars in the region, lined with low shops with wooden fronts. It was badly damaged during the 1999 war and later restored. The sixteenth-century Hadum Mosque stands nearby, and outside the town the long stone Terzijski Bridge crosses the Erenik.
A Gjakovë map poster centres on the long line of the bazaar and the river flowing beside the old town. Around them, the street network opens out into newer neighbourhoods and eventually into farmland and the valley of the Erenik. The map has a clear historic core and shows plainly how the town has grown outward from it.

Krena River
The small river flows through the town and is crossed by several bridges. It gives the map a natural line that both separates and connects different parts of the centre.
Erenik valley
The broader Erenik River runs through the landscape near the town. Its valley holds farmland and the historic Terzijski Bridge, and it gives the map a wider natural setting.

为什么选 Gjakovë
一张有意义的地图
Gjakovë matters a great deal to people who grew up there and to the large diaspora living in Switzerland, Germany and elsewhere. A map of the town, with its bazaar and rivers, keeps that connection in view every day.
Add your own title and subtitle, such as a family name, a street or a date, and keep the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files in six sizes for $9, or order a matte printed poster.
