关于地图
Gourette Map Poster & Print
Gourette sits in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, within the commune of Eaux-Bonnes, at the head of a narrow valley off the Ossau. From above, the resort appears as a tight knot of buildings at the bottom of a steep amphitheatre of peaks. The ski runs rise from it on all sides, following the natural hollows of the mountain.
The road that runs through Gourette climbs on to the Col d'Aubisque, one of the most famous passes in the Tour de France. On the map its hairpins are the most striking man-made line in the landscape: a road looping back and forth up the slope before cutting across the open mountainside toward the pass.
A Gourette map poster shows a Pyrenean resort in its purest form, a small settlement closely surrounded by high ground. The winding pass road, the bowl of ski slopes and the surrounding ridges make for a dense, sculptural composition. It appeals equally to skiers who know the pistes and to cyclists who know the road to the Aubisque.

Mountain amphitheatre
Steep peaks enclose the resort on several sides. They form a natural bowl that the ski runs follow down to the village.
Compact resort core
The buildings are packed into a small area at the valley head. On the map this shows as a dense cluster at the foot of the slopes.

为什么选 Gourette
一张有意义的地图
Gourette is a local mountain for much of southwest France, reached in a short drive from Pau, and a landmark for anyone who has ridden up the Aubisque. A print links winter memories and summer climbs in a single view.
Change the title, add a subtitle with a race date or a first descent, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir gives the dense contours around the valley head real depth.
