The Rogue River
The river runs through the middle of town with gentle bends and gravel bars. It is the dominant natural line on the map, and a few bridges stitch the two banks together.

关于地图
Grants Pass Map Poster & Print
Grants Pass is the seat of Josephine County in south-western Oregon, set in a valley where the Rogue River runs broadly from east to west. The river divides the town into northern and southern parts, joined by a few bridges. The historic downtown lies on the north bank, laid out on a compact grid beside the railway.
The town is often said to have been named in 1863, when news of Ulysses S. Grant's capture of Vicksburg reached the road crews building the stagecoach route over the nearby pass. Downtown, an arched sign over Sixth Street reads It's the Climate, a slogan that has been part of the town's image for generations.
On a Grants Pass map poster, Interstate 5 curves around the northern edge of town, the grid gives way to winding residential roads as the ground climbs into the hills, and the Rogue River's loops and islands lie at the centre. It is a compact, balanced composition.

Downtown grid
North of the river, the historic centre forms a tight grid of short blocks along the railway, with Sixth and Seventh Streets as its main axes.
Hills on every side
Beyond the flat valley floor, roads start to switch back and wander into forested hills. The print gets sparser and more organic toward its edges.

为什么选 Grants Pass
一张有意义的地图
Grants Pass is a base for rafting the Rogue, a place people retire to and a hometown for many who later moved north to Portland or south to California. A map of the valley records that connection with the river and the hills.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a year or a stretch of river, and edit the coordinates. Choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, as a $9 digital download or a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
