La Grande Borne curves
Émile Aillaud's estate winds in serpentine lines around enclosed green spaces. From above it looks almost sculptural, and it is the most recognisable feature of the poster.

关于地图
Grigny Map Poster & Print
Grigny is a commune in Essonne, about twenty kilometres south of central Paris, close to the left bank of the Seine. On a map it is unlike most of its neighbours. Its street pattern is shaped as much by large post-war housing projects as by any older village plan.
The most striking shape belongs to La Grande Borne, the estate designed by the architect Émile Aillaud. Its long, low buildings snake in curves around open courtyards. Nearby, the Grigny 2 complex adds a different geometry of tall slabs. To the east, a chain of ponds shared with Viry-Châtillon lays wide areas of water across the map.
A Grigny map poster turns these unusual forms into a graphic composition. The flowing lines of the estates, the calm shapes of the lakes and the motorway edges together make a picture of French suburban architecture that is worth looking at closely.

Lakes of Grigny
A string of ponds toward Viry-Châtillon forms broad blank shapes in the drawing. They give the composition breathing room and a soft, organic edge.
Motorway boundaries
Major roads and rail lines frame the commune and cut it into distinct sectors. That makes the separate neighbourhoods easy to tell apart on the map.

为什么选 Grigny
一张有意义的地图
For residents and former residents, a Grigny poster is a way to show the place as it really is, with its bold architecture and its lakes. Architecture enthusiasts also value the map for Aillaud's distinctive curving plan.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be changed, for example to name a neighbourhood or mark a moving-in date. Pick from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Digital HD files cost $9.
