Today towns here grow into one another, and on a map the borders between them are hard to see. Grumo Nevano shows up as part of a continuous urban fabric, with its own dense core at the centre.
The double name recalls two settlements that grew together over time. The historic streets are narrow and irregular, lined with the courtyard houses typical of the Neapolitan hinterland.
