Curving avenues
The residential streets wind through the area in loops and closes rather than a grid, giving the map a soft, organic pattern of lines.

关于地图
Hadley Wood Map Poster & Print
Hadley Wood sits at the northern edge of London, in the borough of Enfield, where the city gives way to open country. From above, the streets curve through the area in loops and cul-de-sacs, lined with houses set in large plots of land. Trees and gardens take up as much of the map as buildings.
The area developed around its railway station, on the main line north out of King's Cross. It is surrounded by green space: Hadley Common and Monken Hadley lie to the west, and the parkland of Trent Park is not far to the east. The Green Belt keeps the edges of the neighbourhood open, so the suburb ends abruptly in fields and woodland.
A Hadley Wood map poster is mostly about space. The winding avenues, generous plots and surrounding green create a light, open composition, very different from the dense grids of inner London. In black and white, the curves of the roads look almost drawn by hand. It is a quiet map of London's green edge.
