Ibi River bed
The river widens as it leaves the hills, with braided channels and sandbars inside its embankments. On paper it forms a broad, pale ribbon across the composition.

关于地图
Ibi Map Poster & Print
Ibi lies in western Gifu Prefecture, where forested mountains meet the northwestern edge of the Nobi plain. On a map the Ibi River is the defining line. It comes out of a narrow valley and widens into a broad gravel bed, and the town sits beside it on the flatter land.
The Yoro Railway ends here, and the terminus gives the town a clear point where rail, roads and the river corridor meet. The surrounding area is also linked to Kegon-ji, the temple that closes the long Saigoku Kannon pilgrimage in western Japan.
An Ibi map poster shows a place at a boundary. Dense contour-like valleys fill one side of the frame, and the rectangular fields and straight roads of the plain fill the other. The river runs between them and holds the design together.

Railway terminus
The line from the plain ends in town, and the tracks stop cleanly at the station. It is a small, satisfying detail for anyone who has arrived by train.
Mountains meet plain
Winding valley roads to the north and west give way to a neat, rectilinear field pattern to the south, a clear shift in texture on a single sheet.

为什么选 Ibi
一张有意义的地图
Ibi appeals to people with family roots in Gifu, pilgrims who finished the Saigoku route nearby, and anyone drawn to the place where Japanese mountains turn into farmland. The map records that transition calmly and without clutter.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are all editable, so the poster can mark a journey or a year. It comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
