Sheltered bay
The bay in front of the town creates a strong curved coastline. It is the defining shape of the map and gives it an open side.

关于地图
Iharan̈a Map Poster & Print
Iharan̈a, also known as Vohémar, lies on the northeast coast of Madagascar in the Sava region. On a map the town sits on the edge of a bay that opens onto the Indian Ocean. Its streets run close to the shoreline, and roads lead inland.
Sava is known for vanilla, and the area around the town is green and farmed. The site also has archaeological significance: excavations at a nearby medieval necropolis linked to the Rasikajy culture uncovered evidence of long-distance Indian Ocean trade.
An Iharan̈a map poster places the coastline at the centre of the composition. The irregular curve of the bay, the modest grid of the town and the lines of roads leading inland create a balanced image, with the sea as a large, calm shape.

Seaside streets
The town's streets lie close to the water in a compact cluster. They form the densest part of the poster.
Inland routes
Roads leave town toward the rest of the Sava region. They thin out into green countryside and give the map depth.
