关于地图
Jixian Map Poster & Print
Jixian is the seat of Jixian County, part of the Shuangyashan area in eastern Heilongjiang. It lies on the Sanjiang Plain, the great lowland formed by the Heilong, Songhua and Ussuri rivers, much of which was converted from wetland into farmland during the second half of the twentieth century. On a map, the town is a neat block of streets in a very large, very flat landscape.
The town's layout is regular, with straight streets running at right angles and a clear central area around its main avenues. Outside the last blocks, the land is divided into enormous rectangular fields separated by farm roads, drainage channels and rows of trees, patterns that look almost engineered when seen from above.
Winters here are long and severe, and the region is known for its agriculture, particularly soybeans, maize and rice. A Jixian map poster captures the calm geometry of that setting, with the town at the centre and the fields laid out around it in long, disciplined lines reaching toward the horizon.

Sanjiang farmland
Huge rectangular fields, many reclaimed from former wetlands, surround the town and give the poster a striking, large-scale pattern of parallel lines.
Drainage channels
Straight ditches and canals built to drain the plain run alongside roads and field edges, adding a second layer of fine lines to the landscape.
