Jogipet is a town in the Sangareddy district of Telangana, northwest of Hyderabad on the Deccan plateau. Its landscape is typical of the region: gently undulating land, outcrops of granite, and the reservoirs known locally as tanks, which have long stored monsoon rain for farming across Telangana.
The town centre is small and dense, with a network of streets and lanes gathered around the main roads and market areas. Around it, newer residential streets spread outward in a looser pattern, gradually giving way to farmland and village roads. Water bodies and field boundaries add irregular shapes to the outer parts of the map.
