Winding roads
Streets follow the contours of the low hills instead of a grid, so the map is made of soft, branching lines that spread in every direction.

关于地图
Kadachira Map Poster & Print
Kadachira lies in Kannur district in northern Kerala, a few kilometres inland from the Arabian Sea coast. Like many places in this part of the state, it has no sharp boundary between town and countryside. Roads wind through a continuous landscape of houses, gardens and coconut palms, following the lie of the land rather than a planned grid.
The terrain is gently undulating. There are low hills of red laterite and damp valleys where paddy fields and small streams collect water during the monsoon. Schools, places of worship and shops are spread along the main roads rather than gathered in one centre, which makes the settlement feel dispersed and interconnected.
A Kadachira map poster renders this pattern as a web of curving lines that tighten where roads meet and loosen across the slopes. It is less a portrait of a single centre than of a whole local landscape. People from north Kerala will recognise the pattern immediately, even without landmarks.

Dispersed settlement
Houses sit in gardens along roads and lanes rather than in a dense core, which gives the poster an even, airy texture typical of rural Kerala.
Valleys and paddy land
Low-lying stretches between the slopes, where water gathers and fields are planted, appear as quieter open spaces between the clusters of roads.

为什么选 Kadachira
一张有意义的地图
For families from Kadachira, including those who now live in the Gulf or in other cities, a map of the area is a direct link to home. It shows the roads to relatives, schools and places of worship that people carry with them wherever they live.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a house name or a wedding date, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. A free 900 px watermarked preview shows the design before you buy.
