关于地图
Kahandhale Map Poster & Print
Kahandhale lies in the Somali Region of eastern Ethiopia, a large area of dry lowland where settlements are spread widely apart. On a map, a place like this appears as a compact cluster of streets and tracks set within a vast, mostly empty landscape. The simplicity is part of its character, and it makes for a strong, graphic composition.
In the arid lowlands, routes between settlements are often long and direct, and seasonal watercourses can appear as faint lines crossing the plain. The built area is small and closely gathered, so every line on the map carries weight, and the empty space around it shows the scale of the land.
A Kahandhale map poster captures this in minimal form: a small settlement, the tracks that lead out of it and the open ground on every side. It is a personal piece for people from the region, including those who now live far from it and want to keep home in sight.

Long connecting routes
Roads and tracks lead away across the plain toward other settlements, running long and fairly direct over the flat terrain.
Open lowland
The wide dry landscape around the town appears as generous empty space, giving the poster a spare, balanced composition.
