关于地图
Kaouéni Map Poster & Print
Kaouéni is part of Mamoudzou, the main town of Mayotte, on the eastern side of Grande-Terre. The island is surrounded by a wide lagoon enclosed by a coral reef. On a map, the neighbourhood sits between the coastal road and the green, steep hills behind it.
Its street pattern follows the slope. A few roads run along the coast, and from them narrow lanes and paths climb uphill, packed with houses built wherever the ground allows. This produces a dense, irregular texture that looks very different from the grid of a planned town.
A Kaouéni map poster places that dense hillside fabric next to the calm, open shape of the water. The coastline and the lagoon give the map a strong edge, and the hills give it depth. It is a very specific place, and the map shows it in detail.

Hillside lanes
Narrow lanes climb steeply from the coast, and they create an irregular, finely branched pattern of streets across the hillside.
Coastal road
A main road runs along the shore and links Kaouéni with the rest of Mamoudzou, forming the line that the neighbourhood grows from.

为什么选 Kaouéni
一张有意义的地图
For families in Mayotte and those who have moved to mainland France or elsewhere, this map holds the exact streets of home, facing the lagoon.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or a date, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint works well with a lot of water.
