Highway spine
The main road runs through town and holds most of its activity, forming a strong line that the smaller streets organise themselves around.

关于地图
Kaset Sombun Map Poster & Print
Kaset Sombun is the main town of a district in Chaiyaphum Province, in Thailand's Isan region. Its name translates roughly as 'abundant agriculture', which fits the landscape around it. On a map, the town is a compact cluster of streets beside its main road, surrounded by fields, ponds and scattered villages.
The built area is modest, organised around the highway and a handful of cross streets, with temples, schools and markets close to the centre. Beyond the edge of town, the pattern changes to farmland divided by small roads and irrigation channels. Hills rise to the west of the district, forming part of the landscape of Chaiyaphum.
A Kaset Sombun map poster shows an Isan district town in its everyday form: a practical centre along the road and wide farmland beyond. In black and white, reservoirs and ponds appear as crisp shapes among the fine linework. It makes a quietly personal piece for people from the district, wherever they live now.

Ponds and reservoirs
Small water bodies are scattered around the town and farmland, appearing on the poster as clean, solid shapes against the surrounding lines.
Farmland edges
The town gives way to fields and small villages within a short distance, and the open space reflects the rice-growing country of Isan.
