Old town maze
Around the Id Kah Mosque, lanes twist and branch in an intricate pattern. In black and white this becomes the most detailed part of the poster, drawing the eye to the centre.

关于地图
Kashgar Map Poster & Print
Kashgar lies at the far western edge of China, in Xinjiang, where the Taklamakan Desert meets the foothills of the Pamir and Tian Shan ranges. For centuries it was a key junction on the Silk Road, where routes from China, Central Asia and South Asia converged, and the city still sits within a wide irrigated oasis surrounded by dry land.
The old town, centred on the Id Kah Mosque, is a compact maze of narrow lanes and courtyard houses, much of it rebuilt in recent years but still dense and irregular in plan. Around it, wide, straight avenues and newer districts extend in a clear grid, and the Tuman River runs along the edge of the historic core.
Kashgar's Sunday bazaar and livestock market have long drawn traders from the surrounding region, and the city is also the starting point of the Karakoram Highway toward Pakistan. A Kashgar map poster captures the meeting of old and new: the fine, organic texture of the old town set inside the orderly lines of the modern city.

Tuman River
The Tuman River winds past the historic core, with parks and walks along its banks. On the map it softens the edge between the old town and newer districts.
Oasis fields
Beyond the city, irrigated fields and tree-lined roads form a fine rural grid that thins toward the desert. It shows how the oasis sustains the whole settlement.
