Ina River
The river runs along the eastern side of the city. Its winding course is the strongest organic line on the map and marks the border with Osaka Prefecture.

关于地图
Kawanishi Map Poster & Print
Kawanishi is in the southeast of Hyōgo, on the northern edge of the Osaka plain. The city is long and narrow. Its southern end lies on the flat land near Ikeda and Itami, while the northern part reaches deep into forested hills. The Ina River forms much of the eastern boundary, and on a map it is the city's clearest line.
The southern districts around the main railway stations are densely built with small, irregular blocks. Further north, large hillside new towns were built on levelled ground, with curving streets laid out in neat, planned patterns. Tada Shrine, in the valley north of the centre, is associated with the Seiwa Genji, the branch of the Minamoto clan whose founder is enshrined there.
A Kawanishi map poster captures that transition from plain to hills. At the bottom are dense suburbs, in the middle the river valley, and higher up the planned estates surrounded by forest. In black and white, the organic lines of the valley and the ordered curves of the new towns contrast clearly.

Hillside new towns
Planned residential estates sit on the northern hills, with loops of curving streets. They make distinct, ordered patterns surrounded by forest.
Southern centre
Around the railway stations near the Osaka plain, streets are dense and irregular. This is the most detailed part of the map.

为什么选 Kawanishi
一张有意义的地图
Kawanishi is where many families from Osaka and Kobe have made their homes, and its map shows the everyday route from station to hillside estate. The title and subtitle can be written in Japanese or English, and the coordinates line pins the house.
The river and the hills look calm in Paper and Sand, and the planned estates look crisp in Blueprint. All five styles are included in the $9 HD download of 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files. Printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
