关于地图
Kazan Map Poster & Print
Kazan stands on the left bank of the Volga, where the Kazanka River joins it. The Volga here is part of the Kuybyshev Reservoir and is so wide that on a map it looks more like a lake than a river. The Kazanka cuts through the city, dividing the historic centre on its southern bank from the newer districts to the north. Several long bridges connect the two sides.
The Kremlin stands on a hill above the mouth of the Kazanka, and its white walls follow the shape of the slope. Inside is the Qolşärif Mosque, next to older Orthodox churches. From the Kremlin, Bauman Street runs southeast through the old town as a pedestrian street. On a Kazan map poster, the rivers set the frame and the old centre forms a dense knot at the confluence.
Kazan is the capital of Tatarstan and a meeting point of Tatar and Russian culture. The Kremlin is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Kazan University, founded in 1804, is one of the oldest in Russia. Its students included Leo Tolstoy and Vladimir Lenin, and the mathematician Nikolai Lobachevsky taught there and served as rector.

Kremlin hill
The fortress walls follow the shape of the hill above the river. This irregular outline forms the natural centre of the composition.
Wide Volga
Widened by the reservoir, the river spreads across the western edge of the map. It is a broad, calm plane of water beside the streets.

为什么选 Kazan
一张有意义的地图
Kazan is a strong choice for graduates of its university, families with Tatar roots, and anyone who has watched the sunset over the Volga from the Kremlin. The rivers make a clear, elegant frame.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a year or name in Tatar or Russian, and adjust the coordinates. Choose from five styles, then download the HD files in six sizes or order a matte printed poster.
