Mula River edge
The river loops along the town's boundary. Its curving line gives the mostly straight-edged cantonment a soft, natural border and a clear sense of where Khadki ends and the wider city begins.

关于地图
Khadki Map Poster & Print
Seen from above, Khadki looks different from the dense city around it. Central Pune packs its streets tightly, while the cantonment spreads out in wide, orderly blocks, with long avenues, large compounds and open ground between them. The Mula River curves along one edge, and railway tracks cut through on their way north. Together they give the map clear boundaries on more than one side.
The name is tied to the Battle of Khadki in 1817, fought between the Peshwa's army and the British East India Company during the last Anglo-Maratha war. The British later built the area up as a military station. The planning habits of that period still show in how far apart its roads run and in their regular geometry, even as the surrounding city has grown right up to its borders.
A Khadki map poster keeps that contrast between the open cantonment and the tighter streets next door. Drawn in thin black lines, the river, the railway and the loose grid of institutional land become an abstract drawing. People who served, studied or grew up here tend to recognise it at once, often before they read the title.

Wide cantonment blocks
Large compounds, parade grounds and tree-lined avenues form a pattern of big open cells, much looser than the residential lanes of neighbouring Pune and easy to pick out on the poster.
Rail corridor
Railway tracks run through Khadki toward the north. They draw a firm line across the map and split the town into distinct parts, each with its own street pattern.

为什么选 Khadki
一张有意义的地图
People hang Khadki for personal reasons: a posting, a childhood in a cantonment bungalow, a family story that runs through the military station. The map holds those memories without needing a photograph, just the lines of roads, rails and river.
You can set your own title, add a subtitle such as a posting year, and keep or edit the coordinates line. Pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download HD files for $9 or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
