关于地图
Kināna Map Poster & Print
Kināna lies in east-central Sudan, on the plains east of the White Nile, and it is known above all for the Kenana sugar estate, one of the largest sugar-growing operations in Africa. Seen from above, the area is unmistakable: a huge grid of irrigated fields and canals laid across flat clay plains, with the town and factory at its centre.
The estate draws its water from the White Nile, which is lifted and distributed through a hierarchy of canals, from broad main channels to small field ditches. That engineering gives the map an extraordinary geometric quality, far more regular than any ordinary town. Housing areas for workers form their own neat blocks, set among the fields.
A Kināna map poster is as much a portrait of a landscape as of a settlement. The straight lines of canals and field boundaries fill the frame with a disciplined, almost abstract pattern, while the town offers a denser focal point. It is a striking print for those who lived or worked here and for anyone drawn to engineered landscapes.

为什么选 Kināna
一张有意义的地图
Kināna has been home to generations of workers, engineers and their families, and many carry memories of the estate wherever they now live. A map of its fields and canals is a precise, understated way to remember those years.
Change the title, add a subtitle such as a name or a span of years, and keep the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand; the Blueprint style suits the estate's engineered layout. HD files cost $9, and printed posters are available.
