关于地图
Kirandul Map Poster & Print
Kirandul lies in Dantewada district in southern Chhattisgarh, at the foot of the Bailadila range, whose hills hold some of India's richest iron-ore deposits. The town exists because of the mines, and it shows on the map: a planned township of orderly residential blocks, with forested hills rising steeply above it.
The mines are operated by NMDC, and the landscape around town is marked by haul roads climbing toward the workings on the ridges. Kirandul is also the terminus of the railway line that carries ore east toward the coast at Visakhapatnam, and its rail yards form a long, straight shape at the edge of the settlement.
The contrast between the neat grid of the township and the dense forest of Bastar around it gives the print unusual depth. A Kirandul map poster makes a strong keepsake for families who lived here during a mining posting, and for anyone drawn to places shaped entirely by one purpose.

Bailadila hills
The iron-bearing hills rise directly behind the town. Winding roads climb toward the mines and give the upper part of the map a sense of height.
Railway terminus
The ore railway ends at Kirandul, and its yards and tracks form long, straight lines at the edge of town, the start of the route to the coast.

为什么选 Kirandul
一张有意义的地图
Many families spent years in Kirandul on mining postings and still think of it as home. A map preserves that period, and you can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a family name, the years you lived there or a colony name.
Noir and Blueprint suit the industrial setting, while Paper and Sand give a warmer finish. Classic black & white is the simplest. Download the HD files for $9 and print at 18×24″, A2 or any of the other four sizes, or order a matte poster.
