Planned grid
The centre is organised into straight streets and rectangular blocks. This clear order reflects the town's growth as a planned mining settlement in the last century.

关于地图
Kireyevsk Map Poster & Print
Kireyevsk grew in the twentieth century as a mining town of the Moscow coal basin, and its map still shows that planned origin. Straight streets set out regular residential blocks, larger buildings sit around open squares, and the settlement ends cleanly against surrounding fields and woodland on the flat Central Russian plain.
Water appears in modest forms. Small rivers and ponds lie around the edges of the town, some of them shaped by the industrial landscape. Rail lines and roads run out toward Tula and nearby settlements, giving the frame a few long diagonals that break up the orderly grid of the centre.
A Kireyevsk map poster captures a type of place found across the Russian interior: purposeful, rectilinear and closely tied to the work it was built for. In black and white the regular blocks take on an almost architectural quality, like a drawing of a town planned on a single sheet.

Ponds and streams
Small bodies of water sit near the town's edges. They add soft, irregular shapes that contrast with the straight lines of the residential districts.
Roads outward
Rail and road links stretch across the surrounding plain toward neighbouring towns. They pull the composition outward from the compact centre.

为什么选 Kireyevsk
一张有意义的地图
Many families trace their roots to the mining towns around Tula, and a map of Kireyevsk makes that connection visible. Its tidy geometry also works simply as a graphic piece, whether or not you know the place.
You can edit the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line, so the poster can name a street, a school year or a family. Five styles are available. Blueprint suits the planned layout especially well.
