关于地图
Kitahama Map Poster & Print
Kitahama lies in Shiga Prefecture, in the lowlands around Lake Biwa, Japan's largest lake. From above, the area shows the characteristic pattern of the Japanese countryside close to a city: tightly packed residential lanes, straight roads and railway lines, and patches of rice fields divided into precise rectangles that fill the gaps between settlements.
The streets are narrow and close together, as is common in Japanese neighbourhoods, which gives the built-up area a fine, detailed texture on a black and white map. Main roads and rail lines cut through it in longer, stronger lines, and the rice fields add large open grids that contrast with the density of the houses.
A Kitahama map poster brings out that interplay between dense neighbourhoods and geometric farmland. It is a thoughtful keepsake for anyone who lived in Shiga, whether for work, study or family, and for those who like the precision of Japanese maps.
