Contour-following roads
Roads loop and bend around the hills instead of running straight, creating soft curves that give the map its movement and character.

关于地图
Kongtan Map Poster & Print
Kongtan sits in the hilly southern part of the Sichuan Basin, within reach of Zigong. The land here is rarely flat for long. Low hills and terraced slopes shape where roads can go, so streets bend with the contours and settlement gathers along valley floors and gentler ground.
The surrounding region is known for Zigong, a city with a long history of brine salt production and a well-known tradition of lantern festivals. Kongtan belongs to that wider landscape of rural towns, farmland and river valleys that links the larger cities of southern Sichuan.
A Kongtan map poster turns this terrain into a set of flowing lines. The town centre forms a denser patch where roads converge, while outlying routes trace curves across the hills. Rather than a strict grid, the map shows a place shaped by ground and water, which gives it an organic, hand-drawn feel.

Compact town core
Where the ground levels out, streets tighten into a small, dense centre that acts as the visual anchor of the poster.
Southern Sichuan setting
Kongtan sits within the wider Zigong area, and a wider framing brings in the surrounding pattern of valleys, farmland and connecting routes.
