关于地图
Kourou Map Poster & Print
Kourou is a town on the Atlantic coast of French Guiana, at the mouth of the Kourou River. It is best known for the Guiana Space Centre, the European launch base just outside the town. Its location near the equator makes it well suited for launching satellites. Offshore lie the Îles du Salut, once part of the penal colony.
The map shows a town squeezed between the river and the sea. Residential neighbourhoods are set in a planned pattern with curving streets and loops, much of it built as the space centre expanded. To the northwest, the launch complex covers a wide area. Its long access roads run through savanna and forest, with the launch pads at the ends.
A Kourou map poster combines several distinctive forms. It has the river mouth, the long ocean coastline, the planned streets of the town and the sparse, straight lines of the space centre roads. It is an unusual subject, and it suits people with a connection to the launch programme or to French Guiana itself.

Space centre roads
Northwest of the town, long roads lead across open land to launch facilities. Their sparse, straight lines are unlike an ordinary street pattern.
Atlantic coast
The coastline runs along the edge of the town. Offshore, the Îles du Salut can be included in a wider frame.

为什么选 Kourou
一张有意义的地图
Engineers, scientists and families who have lived near the launch base often want a memento of their time there. This poster shows the town and the spaceport together on one sheet, which makes it a meaningful gift after a mission.
Personalise the title and subtitle, for example with a launch date, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint suits the technical subject particularly well.
