Riverfront streets
The main roads run parallel to the river. That makes the town long and narrow on the map, shaped by the bank more than by any planned grid.

关于地图
Kualakapuas Map Poster & Print
Kualakapuas is the main town of Kapuas Regency in Central Kalimantan, on the island of Borneo. It lies in the lowlands close to the southern coast, where rivers run slowly toward the Java Sea. On a map the town follows the water. Streets run along the riverbank, and the built-up area stretches along the shore more than it spreads inland.
The ground around the town is flat and often wet, and the region is known for peat and swamp land crossed by rivers and channels. From above, the long straight lines of drainage and access canals contrast with the natural curves of the river. The settled area, by comparison, looks small and concentrated.
A Kualakapuas map poster is mostly about water and the people who live beside it. The broad river takes up much of the frame, and the town's street pattern sits along its edge. It suits anyone with ties to Central Kalimantan who wants a map where the river is plainly the main feature.

Wide waterway
The river is the largest shape on the map. Its broad, solid mass gives the poster a strong, simple base, with the town drawn along its edge.
Lowland channels
Straight canals and channels cut across the flat land around the town. They add ruled lines that contrast with the river's curves.

为什么选 Kualakapuas
一张有意义的地图
For people from Kapuas, the river is the centre of daily life, trade and travel, and a street-and-water map holds on to that more directly than a photograph. It makes a quiet reminder of home for those who now live in Palangka Raya, Banjarmasin or farther away.
The poster can carry your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, in Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 HD download includes 300 DPI PNG and PDF files in six sizes. Printed copies ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
