Two-river junction
The Kuva flowing into the Inva is the town's defining line. Its loops and floodplain give the lower edge of the map an open, curving shape set against the tighter streets above.

关于地图
Kudymkar Map Poster & Print
Kudymkar sits in the north-west of Perm Krai and is the administrative centre of the Komi-Permyak Okrug. On a map, the Inva River and its tributary the Kuva shape everything. The town fills the high ground where they meet, and water curves around it on more than one side. Beyond the last streets the land turns quickly to forest and scattered villages.
The street pattern reads in two layers. There is an older core of irregular blocks near the rivers, and around it later districts laid out on straighter lines that climb away from the water. Wooden houses and low apartment blocks share the same grid, so at poster scale the town looks even and finely grained, not dense.
A Kudymkar map poster keeps the shape of a regional centre that grew around a river junction. The frame is small enough to take in the whole town, the curves of both rivers and the roads leaving towards the surrounding countryside, so it reads as one complete place and not a cropped fragment of something larger.

Komi-Permyak centre
As the capital of the Komi-Permyak Okrug, Kudymkar is the cultural centre for the Komi-Permyak people. That role shows on the map as the one real town in a wide rural district.
Forest edge
The street network stops abruptly where the taiga begins. In black and white, that hard boundary between drawn lines and blank woodland makes the town's outline unusually clear.

为什么选 Kudymkar
一张有意义的地图
People hang Kudymkar because it is where they grew up, studied or still have family, and a map says that more quietly than a photograph. The river bend and the grid above it are easy to recognise for anyone who has walked there, and they need no explanation for anyone who has not.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line. A family name or a year works well, for example. Then choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD digital files cost $9 and cover six print sizes, or you can order a printed poster on matte paper with an optional wooden frame.
