The broad valley and its branching channels frame the town. They show where seasonal floods have been used to water fields for generations.

关于地图
Laḩij Map Poster & Print
Laḩij lies on the coastal plain of southern Yemen, a short distance north of Aden. It sits in the delta of Wadi Tuban, where seasonal floods have long been spread across fields for farming. On a map the town is a compact cluster of streets and courtyard buildings, surrounded by plots of cultivated land and dry channels.
For centuries the town was the seat of a local sultanate, and it served as a political and agricultural centre for the region. Laḩij is also known in Yemen and beyond for its musical tradition, with songs and poets associated with the town and its surroundings.
A Laḩij map poster shows a town defined by water in a dry landscape. Irregular streets form the core, and field boundaries and irrigation lines spread around it. Roads lead south toward the coast. In a clean monochrome rendering, the fine pattern of the old agricultural oasis stands out.

为什么选 Laḩij
一张有意义的地图
Laḩij means a great deal to those with family roots in southern Yemen, and to people who know its songs and its history. A map of the town is a way to keep that place close, especially for those living far from it.
Personalise the title in your own words, add a date or coordinates, and pick from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Start with the free watermarked preview, then choose the $9 HD files or a printed poster.
