Paddy and fishponds
Rice fields and tambak ponds surround the town in dense rectangular patterns, turning the edges of the poster into a finely ruled texture of small parcels and thin embankments.

关于地图
Lamongan Map Poster & Print
Lamongan is the capital of Lamongan Regency in East Java, set on the low plain west of Surabaya and south of the Java Sea coast. Seen from above, the town is a compact grid of streets and kampung lanes sitting in a landscape that is almost entirely flat and heavily worked, with paddy fields and aquaculture ponds reaching close to the edges.
Water shapes the surrounding map. Irrigation channels, drains and rectangular ponds divide the countryside into fine parcels, and the Bengawan Solo, Java's longest river, runs across the regency to the north on its way to the sea. The main road and railway between Surabaya and the western part of the north coast pass through the town, giving it a strong east–west spine.
Across Indonesia the name is familiar mainly for food: soto Lamongan and pecel lele stalls run by people from the regency can be found in cities all over the country. A Lamongan map poster is a way of placing that familiar name back on its home ground, among the fields and waterways.

East–west spine
The main road and railway from Surabaya cross Lamongan side by side, a clear axis through the middle of the town from which smaller streets branch north and south.
Bengawan Solo nearby
Java's longest river loops across the regency north of the town, and at wider scales its broad meanders become the dominant curve on the map.

为什么选 Lamongan
一张有意义的地图
Many people from Lamongan live and work far from it, often in Surabaya, Jakarta or abroad. A map of the town where you grew up, or where a family food business began, makes a personal print for a home, shop or warung wall.
Add a title in your own words, a subtitle and the coordinates, and pick from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The $9 HD files include six print sizes with no watermark, and printed posters are available with an optional wooden frame.
