关于地图
Leavenworth Map Poster & Print
Leavenworth sits on the west bank of the Missouri River in northeast Kansas, and it is the oldest city in the state, founded in 1854. The downtown is a regular grid of streets on the rising ground above the river, and the river itself, sweeping past along the east side, is the dominant feature of the map.
Just north of the city lies Fort Leavenworth, established in 1827 and the oldest active United States Army post west of the Mississippi. Its grounds take up a large part of the map, with curving roads, open space and historic buildings set apart from the city's grid. The name is also closely associated with the federal penitentiary nearby.
A Leavenworth map poster draws together a river border, a nineteenth-century grid and the large irregular expanse of the fort. It is a place shaped by the frontier and the Army, and the plan shows that history clearly in its structure.

The Army post occupies a large area north of town, with winding roads and open land that contrast with the city's orderly grid.
Historic city grid
The downtown and older neighbourhoods follow a straight grid of streets rising from the river, laid out when Kansas was still a territory.

为什么选 Leavenworth
一张有意义的地图
Leavenworth holds a place in many military families' stories, through a posting, a course at the fort or a first home on the river. A map poster marks that chapter and makes a thoughtful farewell or homecoming gift.
Add a title, a subtitle and the coordinates line, with a unit, a name or the years you served there, then choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 HD files arrive as ready-to-print PNG and PDF in six sizes.
