The floating bridge
A causeway and a short floating swing bridge carry the road across the lagoon to the mainland, so the island's only fixed link appears as a fine line across open water.

关于地图
Lefkada Map Poster & Print
Lefkada barely counts as an island on a map. At its northern end a narrow causeway and a short floating bridge cross a shallow lagoon to the Greek mainland, and the town of Lefkada spreads along the water where the two meet. From there the island widens into a solid block of mountains, its roads climbing inland in switchbacks between small villages.
The two coasts could hardly be more different. The west faces the open Ionian Sea with long, steep cliffs and a handful of beaches reached by winding descents, among them Porto Katsiki and Egremni. The east coast is sheltered and indented, with harbours such as Nydri looking across to a scatter of smaller islands, including Meganisi and Skorpios, lying just offshore.
At the southern tip, Cape Lefkatas drops sharply into the sea, a headland linked in ancient legend with the poet Sappho. A Lefkada map poster traces all of it at once: the thin line to the mainland, the edge of the lagoon, the close streets of the old town and the long, quiet roads running south through the mountains toward that final pale point.

Western cliff coast
The west coast runs almost unbroken from north to south, a steep edge facing the Ionian Sea where roads reach the shore in only a few places.
Eastern islets
Off the sheltered east coast, Meganisi, Skorpios and several smaller islands break the sea into channels and bays, giving the poster a scattered, detailed edge.

为什么选 Lefkada
一张有意义的地图
People hang Lefkada for the summers spent there: a rented house above Nydri, a boat trip around the eastern islets, a long drive down to the western beaches. The map keeps the whole island in view, from the lagoon to the cape, in a form that reads calmly on a wall.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps the name of a village or the year of a trip, and choose between Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The HD files are $9 and print at 300 DPI, or order a matte printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
