关于地图
Lelydorp Map Poster & Print
Lelydorp is the capital of Wanica District, a short distance south of Paramaribo. It was named after Cornelis Lely, the Dutch engineer who served as governor of Suriname in the early twentieth century, and the settlement grew along the route that later carried traffic between the capital and the international airport further south.
On the map the town is linear rather than centred. Houses, shops and side streets line up along the main road, with shorter lanes running off at right angles into residential plots and green land. Water courses and drainage lines cross the flat terrain, a reminder of how low and wet this coastal plain is.
A Lelydorp map poster shows a place defined by movement between two points: the capital to the north and the interior to the south. The drawing emphasises that stretched shape, with a strong central spine and a finer pattern of side streets and ditches filling the space on either side.

Side-street pattern
Short lanes branch off at right angles into residential plots, creating a ladder-like arrangement that gives the map a steady rhythm from top to bottom.
Drainage and creeks
Canals and small watercourses cut across the low coastal plain, thin lines that add texture and show the lowland character of Wanica.

为什么选 Lelydorp
一张有意义的地图
Lelydorp is home to a large, varied community, and many Surinamese families in the Netherlands and elsewhere keep strong ties to it. A map of the town is a calm, personal way to hold on to that connection.
Edit the title and subtitle, set the coordinates line or add a date such as a wedding or a move. Choose from five styles, including Paper and Blueprint, then take the HD files for $9 or have a matte print shipped to you.
