Airport runways
Ben Gurion Airport's long runways lie just to the north. Their straight, heavy lines dominate that edge of the map.

关于地图
Lod Map Poster & Print
Lod lies on the central coastal plain of Israel, southeast of Tel Aviv. From above, the most striking feature is its neighbour. The long runways of Ben Gurion Airport sit immediately to the north, and railway lines converge on the town from several directions. The older centre forms a knot of irregular lanes, surrounded by later neighbourhoods laid out in wider blocks.
Known in antiquity as Lydda, the town has been inhabited for thousands of years. Tradition associates it with Saint George, whose tomb is venerated in the church that bears his name, next to the Great Mosque of Lod. Lod also became a major rail junction, and that role is still clearly visible in the tracks that cross the town.
A Lod map poster brings together three layers: the old core, the modern residential districts and the transport infrastructure of runways and rail. The result is a dense, graphic composition that reflects the town's long history as a crossroads.

为什么选 Lod
一张有意义的地图
Lod is home to a diverse community and a place with thousands of years of layered history. For residents and people with family ties to the town, a map is a thoughtful, neutral way to keep it in view.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, in any language. Choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir and Blueprint make the runways and railways stand out.
