关于地图
Longfield Map Poster & Print
Longfield is a village in north Kent, a short distance south of the Thames estuary towns of Dartford and Gravesend. From above, its outline is clear. A compact residential area of curving closes and crescents is surrounded by open farmland, and a railway line runs through it toward London, giving the village a fixed straight line in an otherwise rounded plan.
Much of the housing dates from the twentieth century, when the station made Longfield practical for commuters. That shows on the map as loops and dead-end roads branching off a few main streets, instead of the tight lanes of an older market town. Hedged fields and small patches of woodland close in around the edges.
A Longfield map poster keeps that contrast between the dense village and the open countryside around it. The railway works as a spine, the residential roads curl away from it, and the empty land around the edge frames the whole design. It is a modest subject, and one that feels familiar to anyone who has lived in the commuter belt between the city and the Weald.

Cul-de-sac pattern
Closes and crescents branch off the through roads in small loops, a layout typical of twentieth-century English village growth.
Farmland edge
The houses stop abruptly at open fields, so the village appears on the poster as a distinct island within the countryside of north Kent.

为什么选 Longfield
一张有意义的地图
Longfield is where many people bought their first home or raised children within reach of London. A map of the village records that everyday geography in a form that looks good in a hallway or kitchen.
Add the family surname, the year you moved in, or a short line of your own, and adjust the coordinates. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
