Rio Grande bosque
The river and its cottonwood forest form a continuous band through the valley. It is the most organic shape on the poster and the reason the town exists here.

关于地图
Los Lunas Map Poster & Print
Los Lunas is the county seat of Valencia County, about twenty miles south of Albuquerque on the Rio Grande. The river shapes its map. A green corridor of fields and cottonwood bosque runs north to south, crossed by irrigation ditches, while newer subdivisions spread onto the drier land to the west, toward the mesa.
The town takes its name from the Luna family, prominent New Mexicans in the nineteenth century. Main roads and the railway run parallel to the river, and Interstate 25 passes along the western side. The map combines the long straight lines of transport with the older, irregular geometry of farm plots fed by acequias.
West of town, a small volcanic mesa known as Hidden Mountain holds the Los Lunas Decalogue Stone, an inscribed boulder whose origin is still debated. A Los Lunas map poster places those desert edges beside the river valley and shows how the town sits exactly where water turns dry land into farmland.

Acequia farm plots
Long, narrow fields fed by irrigation ditches run back from the river. This Hispanic land pattern is still clearly visible in the lines of property boundaries and lanes.
Interstate and rail lines
Interstate 25 and the railway run parallel to the valley. Their long straight lines contrast with the curving river and the older field pattern.

为什么选 Los Lunas
一张有意义的地图
Los Lunas is home both to long-established New Mexican families and to newer residents who commute to Albuquerque. A map of the town speaks to both, with the old valley on one side and the growing edge on the mesa on the other.
Put a family name, a move-in date or the coordinates of your street in the title lines, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 HD set includes sizes up to 18×24″ and 24×36″, or you can order a framed print.
