Central grid
Straight streets form near-square blocks around the central plaza, a tidy core that reads clearly even at the larger print sizes.

关于地图
Machiques Map Poster & Print
Machiques, formally Machiques de Perijá, lies in western Zulia state, on the lowland that stretches between Lake Maracaibo and the mountains along the Colombian border. The town is laid out as a compact grid of blocks around a central plaza, the pattern common to towns across Venezuela, with roads leaving it toward farms and neighbouring settlements across flat, open country.
The surrounding region is known above all for cattle ranching and dairy production, and the town serves as a market and service centre for a wide rural area. The Sierra de Perijá rising to the west is home to indigenous communities, including the Yukpa, whose territories lie in the mountains above the plain.
A Machiques map poster captures a town defined by its setting. The regular streets fill the centre of the frame, the main highway passes through, and at the edges the grid loosens into farm tracks and pasture. It is a clean, uncluttered image for someone with roots in the southern part of the lake region.

Through highway
The main road crosses the town and continues north and south across the plain, the longest line on the map and the town's link to the rest of Zulia.
Edge of the plain
Beyond the last blocks, roads thin into rural tracks and ranch land, leaving open space that frames the town and hints at the mountains to the west.
