关于地图
Madalena Map Poster & Print
Madalena is a municipality in the interior of Ceará, in north-eastern Brazil, in the semi-arid sertão. The town itself is small, and from above it appears as a modest grid of streets around a central area, with the built-up edge giving way quickly to open land. Beyond it, the map is mostly empty space, crossed by a few roads and many unpaved tracks.
The surrounding landscape is the dry caatinga typical of inland Ceará, where water shapes settlement. Small reservoirs and seasonal streams are common features across the region, and roads link the town to rural communities scattered across the municipality. The simplicity of the layout is part of its appeal on a printed map.
A Madalena map poster is best understood as a portrait of a place, not a tourist sight. It records the square, the main streets and the roads leading out into the sertão, and in a monochrome style the contrast between the small, ordered town and the wide land around it becomes the point of the design.

Sertão surroundings
Open, semi-arid land surrounds the town, with only a sparse network of roads and tracks, giving the map large quiet areas around the built-up centre.
Roads to the countryside
Routes leave the town toward rural communities and neighbouring municipalities, forming thin lines that stretch across the otherwise open landscape.

为什么选 Madalena
一张有意义的地图
Many people from the Ceará interior live far from their home towns, and a map of Madalena is a way to keep it present in a new home. The clear grid gives it a calm, balanced look on the wall.
You can change the title and subtitle, add coordinates or a date, and choose between five styles. The HD files cost $9, with six print sizes included, and a free 900 px preview is available first.
