Makuhari Messe
The convention centre covers a large site near the bay. On the poster its halls read as broad, solid rectangles set among orderly streets.

关于地图
Makuhari Map Poster & Print
Makuhari is on the shore of Tokyo Bay in Chiba, and much of its modern district sits on land reclaimed from the sea. Makuhari New City was planned as a business and residential centre, which is why its streets look so different from the dense, irregular neighbourhoods further inland.
The area is best known for Makuhari Messe, the large convention centre that hosts events such as the Tokyo Game Show. It is also home to ZOZO Marine Stadium, where the Chiba Lotte Marines play baseball. On the map, both stand out as large, clean shapes near the water.
A Makuhari map poster shows the break between old and new: wide, regular superblocks on the reclaimed land, a straight coastline and an artificial beach, with the older, finer street pattern behind them. It is a very legible picture of planned Japan.

Reclaimed shoreline
The coastline is straight and engineered, not natural. A clean edge meets the empty water of Tokyo Bay, and it frames the whole district.
Planned superblocks
Wide avenues divide the new city into large, regular blocks. They look completely different from the tight, older street pattern just inland.

为什么选 Makuhari
一张有意义的地图
Makuhari means different things to different people: an office tower, a first flat in Chiba, a game show or a Marines game by the sea. The map captures the district's clear planned form and the bay it was built out into.
Add a title, an event date or your own coordinates, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 download gives you 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files in six sizes, without a watermark.
