Mala River
The river comes down from the Andes and crosses the coastal plain to the Pacific, and the farmed valley along it is the reason the town is here.

关于地图
Mala Map Poster & Print
Mala lies on Peru's central coast, south of Lima in the province of Cañete, close to where the Mala River reaches the Pacific. From above, the landscape splits cleanly in two: a green strip of irrigated fields along the river, and dry, pale desert on either side. The town sits where these meet, near the coastal highway.
The river valley has long been farmed, and it is known in the region for fruit growing, especially apples, which are celebrated at a local festival. On a map, the town centre forms a compact grid around a main square, while field boundaries and irrigation channels spread out across the valley in a looser, organic pattern.
A Mala map poster captures this edge between farmland and desert, with the Pan-American Highway running through and the coastline not far to the west. The contrast carries well in monochrome, where the dense town grid, the river's curve and the open land around it read as distinct textures. It is a quiet, specific portrait of a place on Peru's southern coast.

Pan-American Highway
The coastal highway runs past the town along the Pacific shore, a long straight line linking Mala to Lima in the north and Cañete in the south.
Town grid
A regular block pattern around the central plaza forms the urban core, contrasting with the irregular field patterns of the surrounding irrigated valley.

为什么选 Mala
一张有意义的地图
Mala is home to families whose roots in the valley go back generations, and many who moved to Lima or abroad still think of it as where they come from. A map of the town makes a personal and understated gift, a way to keep the river, the plaza and the road to the coast within sight.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can all be changed, and there are five styles to choose from: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Download HD files for $9 or order a printed poster on matte paper.
