The older centre is a knot of narrow, irregular lanes. Main roads lead out from it across the plain toward nearby towns and villages.

关于地图
Marhaura Map Poster & Print
Marhaura is a town in Saran district in northern Bihar, on the broad alluvial plain north of the Ganges. The land here is almost perfectly flat and intensively farmed, and the map shows it. The town is a compact tangle of winding lanes and bazaar streets, surrounded by a fine mesh of field boundaries, village paths and scattered ponds.
The town has an industrial side that is unusual for its size. It was long associated with sugar milling and confectionery production. More recently it became the site of a diesel locomotive factory set up by Indian Railways with General Electric, which builds high-horsepower engines for freight trains across the country.
A Marhaura map poster suits people who grew up in Saran or have worked at the plant, as well as families now living in Patna, Delhi or abroad. It shows the town and its surrounding villages as one continuous pattern, with the railway line and the main roads drawing the clearest lines.

Railway line
A rail line crosses the area in a long, steady stroke. It is one of the few perfectly straight lines in an otherwise organic landscape.
Ponds and fields
Small ponds and irregular field plots cover the plain around the town, adding a soft, detailed texture to the edges of the poster.

一张有意义的地图
Marhaura is home to many people who now live far away, and a map is a simple way to keep it close. The drawing is precise enough to find your own lane, yet calm enough for any wall.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose one of five styles. The $9 download includes six sizes as 300 DPI PNG and PDF with no watermark. A free watermarked preview lets you check the design first.
