New residential districts
Recently built areas are laid out with regular streets and larger blocks. On the poster they form clean, geometric shapes set against the older fabric.

关于地图
Markova Map Poster & Print
Markova is a settlement on the outskirts of Irkutsk, and in recent years it has grown quickly as the city has expanded outward. From above, the contrast between old and new is easy to see: an older area of detached houses on narrow streets, alongside newer residential districts with larger blocks and wider, more planned roads.
Around the built-up area, the land is still largely forest and open ground, which gives Markova a clear outline on the map. Roads link it towards the city, and the new districts continue to fill in the space between older settlement and the surrounding taiga.
A Markova map poster is a record of a place in the middle of change. Planned streets sit alongside irregular village lanes, and the edge of the forest wraps around both. For residents who moved into the new districts, it can mark the start of a new chapter, with the year added to the title.

Older village streets
Narrow lanes lined with detached houses keep an earlier, less formal pattern. Their small plots add fine detail to one part of the map.
Forest edge
Woodland surrounds the settlement and gives it a clear border. In black and white the empty forest areas frame the streets and draw attention to their shape.

为什么选 Markova
一张有意义的地图
Markova is where many families have recently bought their first home, and a map of the neighbourhood makes a meaningful housewarming gift. It shows the new streets exactly as they are now.
Add a title, subtitle or coordinates line of your own, such as the date you moved in. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint suits these newly planned streets.
