Marlboro Map Poster & Print
Marlboro is a township in Monmouth County, central New Jersey, about an hour from Manhattan. For much of its history it was farmland, and the older country roads still cross the township in long, gently curving lines. Between them, later subdivisions fill the land with the looping streets and cul-de-sacs typical of American suburban planning, broken up by parks, schools and patches of woodland.
US Route 9 runs through the western part of the township and serves as its main commercial corridor. Most residential neighbourhoods sit back from the highway, around quiet streets that rarely connect in a straight line. The result is a map with very little grid and a great deal of curve.
A Marlboro map poster turns that suburban pattern into something unexpectedly graphic.
