关于地图
Masjed Soleymān Map Poster & Print
Masjed Soleymān lies in the foothills of the Zagros in Khuzestan, not far from the Karun River. The town does not form one tight grid. Instead, its neighbourhoods are scattered across ridges and valleys, joined by winding roads that follow the terrain, with open ground in between. On a map it looks like a set of separate islands.
In 1908 oil was struck here for the first time in the Middle East, and the town grew as a company settlement around the fields and installations. Several of its districts still reflect that planned, company-built origin. Hydroelectric dams on the Karun nearby have also transformed the river valley.
A Masjed Soleymān map poster captures an unusual urban form. Curving roads trace the contours, neighbourhoods cluster on high ground, and empty space separates them. It is a place shaped by geology twice: by the hills on the surface and the oil beneath.

为什么选 Masjed Soleymān
一张有意义的地图
For families connected with Iran's oil industry, Masjed Soleymān has a significance that goes beyond its size. A map print honours that history through the town's shape alone, and it makes a thoughtful gift for someone who grew up there.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a name, a neighbourhood or a year, and edit the coordinates line if needed. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
