关于地图
Matsumoto Map Poster & Print
Matsumoto lies in a wide basin in central Nagano, with the Japanese Northern Alps rising along its western horizon. On the map the old castle town is still the centre of gravity: a square moat encloses the castle grounds, and around it runs a pattern of streets laid out for samurai and merchant quarters, with small rivers crossing the town from east to west.
Matsumoto Castle is one of the few Japanese castle keeps that survive in their original form and is designated a National Treasure; its dark walls have earned it the nickname Crow Castle. Nearby, the Nakamachi district keeps rows of old storehouses with black and white lattice plaster walls, and the city is the main gateway to the mountain valley of Kamikochi.
A Matsumoto map poster frames the castle moat as a crisp square at the heart of the composition, with the Metoba River drawing a soft line just to the south. Further out, the city spreads across the flat basin floor into farmland, while the mountains beyond give the edges of the map a natural, open boundary.

Metoba River
This small river runs through the old town just south of the castle, with the Nakamachi storehouse street along one bank and the Nawate market area near the other.
Basin setting
The city fills a flat mountain basin, so its streets fade into fields toward the edges while the Northern Alps close the western side of the frame.

为什么选 Matsumoto
一张有意义的地图
Matsumoto is a city people fall for, whether they live here, stop on the way to the Alps or come for the castle and the old streets. A map of it is a calm, graphic reminder of a place where the town and the mountains feel close together.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line to mark a trip, a hometown or a date. Choose Classic black and white or Noir to echo the castle's black walls, or Paper, Blueprint or Sand, as $9 HD files or a printed poster.
