Road and railway
The main road and the railway line both pass near the town, and together they give the map its strongest parallel lines.

关于地图
Mazeras Map Poster & Print
Mazeras lies in Kwale County, a short distance inland from Mombasa, where the land begins to climb away from the coastal plain. On a map, the town mostly follows its transport links. The main road inland and the railway line pass through or close by, and houses and small plots gather along them.
Around the town, the terrain becomes greener and more varied, with farms, patches of woodland and small streams draining toward the creeks around Mombasa. On a black-and-white map, the straight line of the railway and the curves of rural tracks make a clear contrast, which is often the most appealing feature of small Kenyan towns on paper.
A Mazeras map poster is a direct portrait of a place many people pass through on the way between the coast and the interior. For those who live here, it shows home as the map records it: roads, rail, plots and the green country around them.

Roadside settlement
Houses and small plots cluster along the transport routes, and the town appears as a slender band rather than a round centre.
Coastal hinterland
Farmland, trees and small streams surround the town, a quieter landscape just inland from the busy port city.
