Estate block rows
The residential towers stand in tight, repeating rows along internal roads. Seen from above, they form a precise pattern that looks like an architect's plan.

关于地图
Mei Foo Map Poster & Print
Mei Foo sits on the north-west edge of Kowloon, on land reclaimed from the sea. From above, it is a striking pattern. Tall residential blocks stand in close rows along short internal roads, and a waterfront promenade runs along the edge. Expressways and rail lines frame the estate on its inland sides.
The heart of the area is Mei Foo Sun Chuen, one of Hong Kong's first large private housing estates. It was built from the late 1960s on the site of a former oil depot. Its name comes from the Chinese name of the oil company Mobil. The estate has 99 residential blocks, and Mei Foo station connects two MTR lines.
A Mei Foo map poster shows the order of a modern Hong Kong estate. Rows of buildings repeat with almost architectural precision. The waterline, the expressways and the green spaces between the blocks give the dense grid a clear frame.

Reclaimed waterfront
The estate's edge meets the water in a straight, engineered line. A promenade runs along it and shows how the land was pushed out into the sea.
Expressways and rail
Highways and MTR lines wrap around the estate. Their curves and ramps add strong, flowing strokes around the regular grid of housing.
