关于地图
Meng’a Map Poster & Print
Meng’a lies in Menghai County, in the Xishuangbanna region of southern Yunnan, close to the borders with Myanmar and Laos. On a map the town is a small settlement on a basin floor. A few main streets cross at its centre, and roads wind out through the surrounding hills, following valleys and ridgelines rather than straight routes.
Menghai County is well known as one of the main areas for Pu'er tea, and the hills around the county's towns are widely planted with tea. The region is also home to the Dai people and several other ethnic groups, whose villages scatter across the valleys.
A Meng’a map poster contrasts the town's compact street pattern with the curving lines of the mountain roads. Most of the frame is open, winding country, so the town appears as a small, dense node in a landscape of slopes.
