Moselle islands
The Moselle divides into several arms near the centre and forms islands linked by bridges. They give the map a detailed, watery western edge.

关于地图
Metz Map Poster & Print
Metz, in north-eastern France, grew where the Seille flows into the Moselle, and its map shows water on several sides. The Moselle splits into arms here and forms islands with bridges and quays. The historic centre rises on a hill above the rivers, with streets converging on the cathedral. Newer districts spread across the flatter land to the south and east.
The Cathédrale Saint-Étienne is famous for its vast area of stained glass, among the largest in France, including windows by Marc Chagall. South of the centre, the German imperial quarter built around 1900 introduced wide avenues and a monumental railway station. The Centre Pompidou-Metz, with its distinctive curved roof, opened in 2010 near the station.
A Metz map poster brings together river, old town and planned expansion. The islands and river arms give the western side soft, flowing shapes. The medieval streets form a dense core, and the Imperial Quarter adds broad, straight avenues. It reads as a city with several eras on one sheet.

Cathedral hill
The old town rises on a hill above the rivers, and its irregular streets lead towards the cathedral. It forms a dense, compact heart for the composition.
Imperial Quarter
South of the old town, the district built in the German period has broad avenues and large blocks. It adds a clear, planned geometry beside the medieval streets.
