Colonial core
The old centre keeps the winding, irregular street pattern of an eighteenth-century mining town. It shows as the densest, most intricate part of the map.

关于地图
Minas Novas Map Poster & Print
Minas Novas is one of the older towns of northeastern Minas Gerais, in the Jequitinhonha Valley region. It began during the colonial gold rush of the eighteenth century, and its name, meaning new mines, recalls that time. On a map, the historic core shows the irregular street pattern typical of Brazilian mining towns, with lanes that follow the land rather than a planned grid.
The town sits in hilly country, and its streets run along ridges and down into small valleys. The older centre is tight and winding. Newer neighbourhoods spread out along the approach roads in looser, longer lines. The Jequitinhonha region is known for its craft traditions, especially clay work, and the town remains a local centre for the surrounding rural communities.
A Minas Novas map poster shows a colonial town that has kept its original shape. The dense, uneven heart stands out against the simpler outer streets, and the hills around it set the outline. It is a meaningful image for families from the valley and for anyone drawn to the history of inland Brazil.

为什么选 Minas Novas
一张有意义的地图
Many families have left the Jequitinhonha Valley for São Paulo, Belo Horizonte or further away, and a map of Minas Novas keeps a clear link to where they came from. It also suits collectors of colonial Brazilian towns and their unplanned street patterns.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a surname, a year or a dedication. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Choose the digital HD files, or a matte printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
