关于地图
Monteiro Map Poster & Print
Monteiro lies in the Cariri region of Paraíba, in the semi-arid interior of north-eastern Brazil, close to the border with Pernambuco. The town forms a compact grid of streets and squares on higher ground. It is surrounded by dry, rolling countryside, where small dams and reservoirs show up as scattered patches of water.
Water is the central story of this region. Monteiro became widely known as the point where the eastern branch of the São Francisco river transposition project delivered water into the Paraíba river basin, a milestone for a region long shaped by drought.
A Monteiro map poster conveys a town that holds its own in a harsh landscape. The regular urban core, the roads fanning out through the Cariri and the small blue-black shapes of reservoirs give the sheet a clear structure. It is a fitting picture for anyone rooted in the Paraíba interior.

Reservoirs and channels
Small dams, ponds and watercourses around the town show how important stored water is here. On the poster they appear as dark accents in pale land.
Cariri roads
Roads leave the town toward neighbouring municipalities and the Pernambuco border. They cross the sparse landscape in long, gently curving lines.

为什么选 Monteiro
一张有意义的地图
For people from Paraíba's Cariri, the map is a reminder of home and of the region's long relationship with water. It also makes a thoughtful gift for relatives living far from the sertão.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps in Portuguese with a family name or date. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Printed and framed options are available.
